The new year is here and it’s time for a good reset in terms of cleanliness. It’s a typical topic this time of year. Actually, around any major holiday. We know this because we get a noticeable uptick in these type of cleaning calls.
Lots of reasons for this. Children visit mom or dad only to realize their folks are slowly getting older and cleaning is not a priority! Or their folks are just getting tired and slowing down and their place is a mess because it's hard for them to care for it like they used to do. They have their pride and are maybe a little embarrassed to ask for help. That’s where we come in.
We fully understand these types of situations and we deal with them compassionately. We’ve been in the home cleaning and office cleaning business a long time and we’ve learned a few things!
Sometimes one of the parents has passed on or one is in rehab. Then come the big decisions: nursing home…? Sell the house…? Move in with us?... build an in-law suite? Whatever is decided, things need to get cleaned up to either move the person into a better living situation (if they're renting), or get the house ready to sell. None of this is easy for those people involved, that’s why we’re ready to lend a hand to make a tough cleaning situation a lot easier.
In these situations we usually want to clean out all the clutter and debris after the family's had a chance to separate the keeper items from the discard items. Then we go to work shooting for the most amazing cleanup success you've ever seen. If the current trash service is sufficient, we put the refuse in bags or large curbside trash bins to be removed by the service provider. However, if the current trash removal service is inadequate, we start by first providing a dumpster to remove the unwanted refuse.

Now, if a total, one-time junk removal event is not do-able, we can work around that. We can do the same super-cleaning/disinfecting job and throw away the built-up refuse a little bit at a time. We get it done one way or the other. We either remove the junk all at once, or over a period of time getting rid of a little more with each regular cleaning visit.
